Some well-known hiking trails
🔹 Rothaarsteig: This popular 154 km long-distance hiking trail winds through the Rothaargebirge, one of the most famous mountains in the region. The route offers stunning views of forests, lakes, and mountains and is well-marked.
🔹 Sauerland-Höhenflug: This is another 241 km long-distance hiking trail that winds through the Sauerland mountains. The path offers panoramic views, and along the way you can enjoy idyllic villages and the nature park. The Waldhof is located on this route.
🔹 Panoramaweg: A shorter but scenic hike of about 10 km, ideal for a relaxing day trip. The trail offers breathtaking views of the surrounding nature and is suitable for beginners.
