Summer, guests and new spaces in the Waldhof

The school holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia and the Netherlands are over. We look back on a wonderful summer full of fun, welcoming many hikers and cyclists, meeting new people, and enjoying events ourselves, such as the Schützenfesten in the area, the Bike Days in Willingen, and the annual fair in Bad Arolsen.

In between arrivals and departures, we also spent time exploring the beautiful nature surrounding the Waldhof🌲 – we have been living here for exactly one year this weekend, and we really like it!

In our few spare moments, we've been busy renovating the rooms: new smart TVs, roller blinds, a fresh coat of paint on the walls, and some smaller jobs 🛠️. And… we finally opened the doors to the old breakfast room. A lot of dust and debris later, we're almost finished with our new "living room": a place where you can play darts, pool, piano, watch a movie, or just enjoy a beer from the minibar.

Late summer and autumn are already showing their most beautiful side here 🍂 – the dry weather is bringing the trees to a beautiful, early bloom. A perfect time to explore the Sauerland!
